For the literary enthusiasts.

If brooding poetry and unpublished works of literature aren't your thing, this may not be for you.

DISCLAIMER: These entries have a life-span and a story. Some were written as long as 10 years ago. Some may be present. Some fiction, others fact. Their commonality holds only one attribute. They're all mine. I hope you enjoy.

Her eyes find no pleasure, she's flighty and jaded

Holds close her Vices, solitude in company.

Sips a few more, and she'll be persuaded,

For a mind full of clouds is potentially free.

Loving you was like a flash back to a time

Of reckless hearts and energy.

Faster than the speed of light,

But slow enough that we couldn’t speak.

Whispered secrets, seldom touches,

They were real but also silent and sweet.

No we shouldn’t, yes we can,

Be mine forever -- it’s all just a dream.

But loosing you was a darkness that I’ve never known.

An emptiness without a trace and now completely alone.

Erasing all the memories that haunt my dreams,

All the while you’re so far gone.

“I’m sorry” echoes in my mind,

And shatters what was written in stone.

Pull the stitch to snap the thread,

That once was so delicately sewn.

We touched our hands, they intertwined

In promises broken before we could keep.

Forget your face the freckle that I traced with caution,

Always replayed in my sleep.

Hearing you was like realizing that the world

Could give me everything that I ever need.

But your silence louder than a storm,

That rages in its imitation and misery.

Because loosing you is like jumping from a ledge doomed to fall,

Before you realize your feet.

Forgetting you is like trying to love somebody that you know,

But never actually meet.

Your subtleties and white lies,

Pull me back just in time.

Change my heart and change my mind.

They’re brief, forced, broken, ruined, pitiful

                          Insulting, and cheap.

Our puzzle lingers on the table with a fate

Of never being complete.

Scatter the pieces, change the image,

Once was mine now tattered I'm the lone casualty.

Because loving you was careless,

Wild -- a waste -- and now I’m starting to see.

So perish with my heart engulfed in flames,

Fire and all of its heat.

But when the wind brings us moments,

I’ll dance with passion as I roll like the sea.

You can keep your still motion without falter,

Dwell in the content of your ease.

For you I’ll be a picture perfect statue,

That you brought to it’s knees.

Because loving you was,

Reckless

Silent

Shattered

Broken

Battered

Gone with a shift in the breeze.

I might be frigid, an endless Winter.

Cold, Numb -- zero degrees.

But ice hearts are fortresses that keep you safe,

So I'll never unfreeze.

I guess I never thought,

Never considered or knew,

That changing my life

Meant giving up you.

It's hard to just shift

To let go and adjust.

But I know that it's crucial,

It's inevitable. A must.

It's been a pleasure to know you,

We've written a hit.

But the last chapter is here,

It is time to admit.

I envy the others

Who welcome what's in store.

To be honest with you,

There's no mat at my door.

But alas, I will open.

I will escort Her in;

Sit down face-to-face

For this game she will win.

Now only the glass

Will witness this exchange.

Watching with anticipation

As I fold for a change.

She will have to be tough.

And resilliant you see,

But my faith holds with her.

For it's her that is me.
